Chemical product manufacturer Henkel has unveiled new automotive products for using in the powertrain manufacturing processes.

The new products include the electroceramic coatings (ECC), which can be used for engine and exhaust system applications, is suitable for aluminum, titanium, magnesium and their alloys.

According to the company, the ECC has tribological properties that help to decrease wear, improve engine component efficiency, reduce furl consumption and reduce harmful engine emissions.

The manufacturer has developed new polyacrylate gasketing systems for powertrain components that prevent gas and liquid leakage by offering resistance to transmission oils.

Additionally, the company has developed the porosity sealants to avoid leakage of cylinder blocks, cylinder heads, transmission cases and light metal alloys.

The sealant is applied to the automotive parts when impregnated under vacuum with a Loctite resin to close the gaps.
